Inter Schools Football Competition

Our year 5/6 boys put up a excellent display in the inter schools football competition, making it to the semi-finals, taking part in some very closely fought matches and two nail-biting penalty shootouts. We are very proud of how everyone tried their best and worked brilliantly as a team. Joint 3rd place out of 16 teams is a fabulous achievement! Well done everyone!!

Football Tournament 12 November

Years 3 and 4 have kickstarted our school sports competitions this year, and this time it was football. We had a boys and girls tournament, playing against lots of local schools. Everyone played brilliantly, showing such hard work, teamwork and determination to do their best. You should all be very proud of your efforts!

Special mention to Gracie-Mae Riddiford for scoring all 8 of the goals for the girls team, including two hat tricks. An excellent effort! Well done everyone, you are all superstars!

National Fitness Day 2019

To make National Fitness Day, the pupils all took part in a Change 4 Life: Train like a Lioness 10 minute work out during their Collective Worships.

Year 3 and 4 Tennis 18 July

The tennis tournament was a massive success. Everyone played brilliantly showing the improvement they had all made through after school club practice. All three squads were absolute super stars showing how capable they all are at winning their games. Special mention to Luke, Finnley, Enyah and Evie for finishing in 2nd place overall! Keep up the good work everybody!

Year 5 and 6 Athletics 18 July

Our year 5s were up against some tough year 6 opposition but every single person gave it their all. Special mention to Isabelle, Lauren and Matthew for making it through to their 400m finals. Massive well done to everyone, you all did brilliantly! Keep running, jumping and throwing!

Year 6 Rounders 22 May

We haven't had much practice time this year, but our year 6s did a wonderful job at the rounders competition against lots of other local schools. We had beautiful weather and they all worked brilliantly as a team and made huge amounts of progress during the day. We are really proud of all your efforts and how far you have come- even coming top of the group in the afternoon. Keep up the good work!

Football Festival 26 March

We had great fun learning new skills at the Year 3/4 football festival. It was a great way to learn a new sport and work together with children from other schools. Well done everyone!

Cross Country 20 March

Well done to all our runners taking part in the cross country competition at Spalding Rugby Club. We had some very tough weather conditions, opponents and even a steep hill but you all dealt with it brilliantly. You all put in so much effort and it was great to see so much determination. You should all be very proud of yourselves. Special mention to Rian Hedger for coming 1st in the Under 9 boys race. Well done everyone!

Year 5 & 6 Indoor Athletics 12th February

Amazing effort from all of our athletes qualifying for the small schools regional indoor athletics competition later in the year. There were some very tough opposition and you all did brilliantly. Well done everyone and good luck for the competition in June.

Year 5 & 6 Swimming 16th January

A massive well done to our swimmers who won the small schools swimming competition to qualify for a regional final. Special mention to Sophie Hammond for storming to victory in her 50m front crawl race. Brilliant effort everyone, you were all superstars.

Year 6 Dodgeball 13th December

Some of our year 6s took part in a dodgeball competition, reaching the semi-final to finish 4th overall. We had a lot of fun developing skills and techniques. Well done everyone.

KS2 Goalball 4th December

Some of our Key Stage 2 children were able to try a new sport called goalball. They had fun learning new skills including aiming and throwing with a blindfold on. Brilliant work everyone.

Year 5 & 6 football competition 13th November

Well done to our year 5 & 6 football team who put in a fantastic effort to come away with 2nd place in the Lincolnshire South East School Sport Partnership football competition. You all worked brilliantly as a team and we are very proud of your efforts. You are superstars! Keep up the good work.

KS2 Cross Country Competition 25 September

Brilliant effort from the team taking part in the Key Stage 2 cross country competition in Spalding. We competed against a lot of other local schools. Everyone did their best and should be very proud of themselves. Well done everyone.

Football Tournament

Well done to our Year 4 & 5 football team who finished 3rd in a Lincolnshire South East School Sport Partnership Year 5 & 6 football competition!

New Sports Coach at Whaplode Church of England Primary School

Children of all ages now work with Miss Cox our sports coach during the school week. So far this term the children have had access too: rounders, tennis, ball skills and athletics. This is in addition to our swimming time!

Lincolnshire School Games Festival

On Sunday 9th July 4 of our year 4 children took part in a tennis tournament at the 2017 Lincolnshire School Games Festival.  The team had previously won a local tennis tournament to qualify for the festival.
The team gave a very good account of themselves all winning at least one match and finished an overall 6th. 

Tennis Competition

Well Done to the Year 4 tennis squad who took part in an Agilitas run Tennis competition during June.

Our squad consisted of three teams. Each team behaved impeccably well and gave a very good account of themselves. Our teams finished 1st, 3rd and 5th! 

The team that that finished 1st has now qualified for a Regional final in Grantham on Sunday 9th July. 

Well done to all who entered and good luck for the 9th July!
